Haunts of Mackinac Island

Take an easy paced walk while your personal guide shares tales of ghosts, legends, and the darker side of the Island’s “buried” history.
Michigan Ghost Hunts in Northern Michigan
Asylum Twilight Tour – Traverse City
Head to the Village at Grand Traverse Commons for this unique tour of the former Traverse City State Hospital, a state run asylum. This 90-minute walking tour shares first hand experiences from former employees and listen for the creaks and groans of the asylum “cottages” settling at night. Tour includes an excursion into the basement of a former Men’s Ward Cottage as well as the underground steam tunnels. Tickets $35.
Haunted Petoskey
There are many buildings and locations in Petoskey where unexplainable happenings have and do take place. Visit these places and hear about the multiple occurrences of sightings and activities and learn about initial happenings that may be responsible for them.Approximately two-mile walk on gently sloping hills, about 90 minutes. Michigan Ghost Hunts in Southern Michigan
Eloise Asylum – Westland
Established in 1839, Eloise Asylum was initially built as a psychiatric hospital for the mentally ill. Over the years, it evolved into a complex encompassing various medical facilities, including a tuberculosis sanatorium and a poorhouse. Today, you can take history or ghost tours as well as participate in ghost investigations.
The Whitney – Detroit
Take a stroll on the Paranormal side of Detroit Nightlife. Tour the Iconic Whitney Mansion and Carriage House, while sipping on an Award Winning Witching Hour Cocktail & enjoying Passed Appetizers. Friday nights at 9:00pm.
Ghost Tours of Kalamazoo
This tour delves into the weird, the haunted, and the historic stories found throughout Kalamazoo. This is an annual walking haunted history tour on select Friday and Saturday nights in September & October with proceeds donated to a local charity.
Old Mill – Dundee
While there are no documented deaths inside The Old Mill Museum itself, there are documented deaths at the dam, and rumored deaths on the property itself. Though even though there are not documented deaths inside, the property and area the Mill resides on is rich in history! There are 4 public hunts scheduled for this year. Tickets $42
