May The Squatch Be With You At The Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Festival on May 4, 2024

It’s time to gear up for an out-of-this-world blend when the Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Festival takes place on Star Wars Day in Townsend, Tennessee. When a great blend of two great things! This is the fourth year of this fantastic event and you won’t want to miss it.

Kick the day off with the Bigfoot 5K and fun run at 9 a.m., starting outside of Peaceful Side Social. Not just a race, your $50 ticket includes a festival pass, parking, and some cool Bigfoot swag like a t-shirt, lanyard, headband, and a medal when you cross that finish line. The organizers are crossing their fingers for a record-breaking turnout of 1,000 runners!

The day’s fun continues with Bigfoot contests, clogging performances, live music, and an array of speakers and researchers ready to share their Bigfoot tales. Not to be missed is the big reveal on the main stage – we hear it’s going to showcase Bigfoot in a light you’ve never seen before!

And while you’re there snag some exclusive Bigfoot merch. Over 70 vendors will be ready with all the gear you could want. Plus, there will be over 25 food trucks that’ll satisfy your hunger.

The folks at Blount Partnership anticipate over 10,000 visitors. The event is a great chance to explore Townsend and the broader Blount County while diving into the Bigfoot craze.

Join the fun from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are a deal at $10 in advance or $15 on the day. Kids under 10 join for free!

Plus, there’s parking on-site for $25, with all proceeds supporting the Townsend Fire Department. And hey, if you’ve got a well-behaved pooch, they’re welcome too!
